All of the Camp Hosts have been amazing. It’s a nice quiet park. They hosts do a great job cleaning up camp sites, bathrooms, and collecting the trash. Love seeing them at the gates and their wonderful smiles. They make the experience of the regional parks unique. Wish there was an on site laundry, it’d make life so much easier for regular campers. Kudos for doing it right!
This park has great hiking trails with beautiful views! The visitors center is very nice and has beautiful surrounding grounds. Inside the visitors center is very helpful information. I highly recommend stopping at this beautiful park!!
Nice park. Entrance fee results in nice bathrooms and a Visitor center which has live rattlesnakes and Gila monster. Plenty of parking.
Great spot for a family weekend picnic. We bring snacks and games and hang out under the Ramada at the playground. The playground has fun desert theming and the restroom is right there as well. You've got beautiful desert views and can watch the trail riders go by. Also we always love checking out the shop and a few creatures inside. Can't wait for kids to be old enough for a trail ride here. There is an entrance fee per car to enter the park
Well maintained, AMAZING views and a great multi-use trail system.
quiet and surrounded by beautiful landscape. large sites and plenty of privacy. Love all the nearby hiking trails!
Trail and maps were well marked. Good parking and water station at the trail entrance. We took 2.4 hours to complete a trail estimated at 2-2.2 hours since we stopped for pictures a few times.
I recommend going when it’s 55-85F since there is no shade when it gets hotter.
Nice trails, restrooms and a fun desert themed playground. My kids enjoyed watching the horseback riders pass by. There is fee to enter as it's a Maricopa County Park. Go John and Overton trail was perfect for my kids.
